Property Manager functions - Property Admin
![]()
Paxsoft 2.7 introduces a simplified method of configuring rooms and tariffs. The below discussion refers to the view that you will see when you are configured to view the Tariffs in Advanced mode.

The Property Admin section is the core of your property set up. This is where you will configure rooms, tariffs, room features and the basic information about your property. Depending on your server's configuration you may also have access to room types and property features too.
The different panels are accessed via tabs. Within these tabs your will be given a list of any existing elements and possibly buttons that will enable you to create new elements. Bulleted items are the fields for each element. If a field is marked as mandatory this means that, although the system might not force you to fill the field before clicking Save, you would be advised to do so.
Rooms
The two important fields in this form are the Room Type and the Max People. These settings are used during the booking process, Room Type to help decide which tariffs to offer to prospective guests and the Max people to calculate the maximum available rooms in a property on a given date.
Most of the fields here are free form, in that you can enter anything that suits your requirements. Disabled Access and Smoking are drop down fields.
If your property is an SRP you will not be offered the option to create another room.
Room Types
You may see this option if Global Room Types is disabled but this is not recommended. Both fields are self explanatory.
Tariffs
The booking engine presents room/tariff combinations to the prospective guest. Settings here will help to determine if a tariff can be offered during a booking, depending on the particulars of the booking (eg number of guests, length of the stay)
All fields are mandatory except for the description. The valid from and to dates refer to the dates between which it can be considered for offering in combination with a room to the prospective guest. The Rate per night is the base cost of the room, while min and max days refer to the number of days in a stay. Min and Max people refers to the number of people in the booking.
Room type needs to be selected because the booking engine cross references available rooms with the tariff according to room types.
Ignore PPPN. This allows you to configure a tariff to ignore the Per Person Per Night setting if a property is configured to normally charge using this feature. It allows a property to offer some rooms on a per person per night basis, but also other rooms, such as family rooms, which may be charged on a per room per night basis.
Allow weekends gives you the option to create mid week tariffs. By setting this option to No you can stop this tariff from being offered when any of the booking days falls on a Friday or Saturday. It would be used in a tariff which, for example, has the min and max days both set to two or three.
Weekends only allows you to configure the tariff to be applied if a day or days in the booking falls on a weekend.
Room Features
Room features are offered for viewing when a user clicks on a specific room.
Property
Many of these fields are optional. Most will only be shown on the property details page, however several deserve further comment:
You should fill in the email field with a valid email address as this is the address that booking notification emails are sent to.
The click for a map field is simply for inputting links to other sites.
Property Description is pulled by the property listing page for display when search results are shown.
Property Features
Only viewable if Global Property Features is disabled.
